How to reach Nepal by air
Currently Tribhuvan International Airport (Airport Code: KTM, located in Kathmandu Valley about 5 km from the city center of Kathmandu) is the only international airport in the region. You can connect Kathmandu directly from major Asian and some European cities.

- Swayambhunath Temple is also well known by the name “Monkey Temple”. Swayambhunath is an ancient religious style architecture atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley west of Kathmandu city. The Tibetan name for the site means “Sublime Trees” for the many varieties of trees found on the hill.
- Patan Durbar Square is situated at the center of the city of Lalitpur in Nepal. It is one of the three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites. One of its attractions is the ancient royal palace where the Malla kings of Lalitpur resided.
- The Pashupatinath Temple is a famous and sacred Hindu temple complex that is located on the banks of the Bagmati River, approximately 5 km northeast of Kathmandu in the eastern part of Kathmandu Valley, the capital of Nepal.
- Boudhanath is a stupa (Buddhist commemorative monument usually housing sacred relics associated with the Buddha or other saintly persons) in Kathmandu, Nepal located about 11 km from the center in northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu; the stupa’s massive mandala makes it one of the largest spherical stupas in Nepal.

Day 1
- Nagarkot is known for its view of the Himalayas, including Mt. Everest to the northeast, which is especially striking at sunrise and sunset. The surrounding scrubland is laced with trails and home to many butterflies. To the west of Nagarkot, there is an ancient, pagoda-style Changunarayan Temple, dedicated to Vishnu and is a Hindu pilgrimage site. The Changunarayan Temple is a prehistoric Hindu temple of Changu Narayan situated on a high hilltop that is also known as Changu or Dolagiri. The temple is surrounded by champak tree forest and a small village known as Changu.
- Bhaktapur, a living museum, literally translates to place of devotees. Also known as Khwopa, Bhaktapur is an ancient Newa (Newar are historical inhabitants of the Kathmandu Valley and its surrounding areas in Nepal) city in the eastern corner of the Kathmandu Valley about 13 km from Kathmandu city. It is located in and serves as the headquarters of Bhaktapur district.
